TURN 23 Award by the TH Köln University of Technology, Arts and Sciences
In the category Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, we have received the TURN 23 Award.
Our systemic framework for contemporary teaching and learning has been nominated by the TH Köln.
With a systemic curiosity for circularity, we call our framework LEHRNEN (lernen + lehren, to learn + to teach) which translates into REFLACT (reflect+act).
REFLACT and LEHRNEN represent an interdisciplinary, multi-lingual approach for the future of teaching and learning.
We see this award as a milestone in the often results driven academic landscape with clear ideas of what publications on research in one's own teaching should or should not look like.
Reading the certificate, we feel honoured and understood in our process description:
🏆 Sweet and Dobmeier describe the individual steps of the process in a transparent and easily understandable manner.
🏆 Sweet and Dobmeier share their work on the submission, which they developed further in the BlindDate "System and Environment - Research and Coding". They chose a transparent and easy-to-understand language. The script for the session is also shared in the upload.
🏆 Their initial observation is that students see a big difference between their systemic teaching framework and other lectures and seminars regarding confidence building, learning atmosphere and motivation to learn.
Against this background, they formulate questions such as "What makes systemic teaching different?" and "How could systemic teaching be a successful approach for transformation in university teaching, science and research?".
🏆 Having presented the initial thoughts on a methodological approach, they intend to develop qualitative research on their teaching further.
🙏We owe this approach to all our students and participants.
🙏Together, we REFLACT. Together, we create LEHRNEN [sic!]
Since the Turn Conference 2023, we have started several qualitative research projects and look forward to sharing them here in the future.
Teaching Award by the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences
Since the winter semester of 2020, we have been teaching "Systemic Coaching" together in tandem at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in the degree programs Applied Psychology and Business Psychology with great pleasure.
In April 2022, we were awarded the teaching prize of the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne for our innovative framework of systemic teaching. What an appreciation!
Since then, the interest of universities, further education institutes, organizations, executives and HR departments has been so great that, in the next step, we have started to share our knowledge in in-house formats and open groups with great pleasure.
